All Star Festivities

Dan (along with Tim, Jody, and my dad) attended all of the All-Star festivities this week in STL.  The Home Run Derby was Monday night and the All Star Game was on Tuesday.  I passed on attending the moment that I learned that their "seats" would be Standing Room Only.

Pre-game festivities at the All Star Game.  They had a great spot at the game and came home with tired legs from all the standing but some great pictures and memories of the games.

There were a lot of celebrities and distinguished visitors in STL this weekend.

but ALBERT was the star of the show.

The night of the Home Run Derby, my mom, Trent and I headed downtown too. We wanted to check out the atmosphere and were amazed.  It was crazy.  People were so deep outside the stadium that you could not even get around the stadium at the left field fence area.  It was like what you would see in a mosh pit at a rock concert.  We saw the Clydesdales, had a picnic at Keiner Plaza and watched Albert in Round 1 on the big screen from outside the stadium.  The highlight of Trent's day was riding the choo-choo train (Metrolink).

The best part of the All Star Festivities though was that Tim, Jody and Daisy were in town.  We are not sure if Daisy was as excited to see Trent as Trent was to see her.

  1. Don't let Daisy fool you, she loves all the attention she can get, with the exception of Luke.
