Random Tuesday Vacation Day

We decided to take a vacation day today to spend some time with Trent and to run a few errands that could only be done between 8-5 during the week. We were planning on going to the zoo but it was rainy and kind of chilly when we got up this morning so we went to the City Museum instead. Neither of us had ever been there before and really thought it was a neat place. Tons of different stuff to do there and the building has a lot of neat features.

We started with some crafts. Trent was really concentrating hard on his picture.

I, of course, went with my standard art fall back...the frog.

One of Trent's favorite parts was the train

They had a lot of different slides. One was 10 stories in length, we walked all the way to the top before deciding that we didn't like the look of it since they wouldn't let riders go together. Trent kept going down this slide backwards.

This is Trent doing his "Slide Dance"

This was supposed to be the "gentle" ball pit for 6 & unders. Right next to it was total mayhem in the big ball pit. A new side of me came out (Dan says that it isn't that new) when some WAY over 6's were getting obnoxious in the gentle ball pit. I thought that I might have to take out some kids and their parents with my exceptional dodge ball skills.

When we got home we spent some time doing some of our favorite things around home. Playing frisbee with Luke,

and of course, driving the police car. I bought this police car for $10 at a garage sale a few years ago. Trent and this car have put in more miles together than a state trooper can rack up in a year.

Before he starts driving it he checks all 4 tires and says "Check", then back lights, "check", headlights, "check".

Dan actually did some actual productive work when we got home.

Trent helped me plant some flowers.

Here was my final product. The over/under of when I will have killed them is 15 days.

One perfect day!
