Delrose and Wilbert always take a week of vacation in June, last year Trent got to spend the entire week with his mom and it was the best week ever. This year his mom had to work : ( so his Grandmas got in on the fun. He spent Monday with Grandma Radar. It was a rainy day so they decided to go do some visiting. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Mawmaw kept Trent and they kept very busy. There is no photographic evidence of their days but I believe that it included a picnic on the kitchen floor and a lot of hide and seek. On Tuesday night, we went to the Portawestfalica Parade in Waterloo. Portawestfalica, Germany is Waterloo's sister city. Trent liked seeing the police cars and fire trucks but gave the clowns the stiff arm to keep away. Finally on Wednesday night, Trent's vacation with his mom and dad began. Hooray! We left Wednesday night and drove to Kansas to visit our siblings and siblings-in-laws. Our first stop was to Manhattan, KS to visit Sharon and Ryan. Tim and Jody were nice enough to let us layover at their house on the way to break up the drive. We had a great time visiting with the Breiners and hanging out on Thursday and Friday. On Friday we went to the Sunset Zoo in Manhattan, Trent wasn't too excited to see the animals but had a great time walking around and playing on the playground afterwards. On Saturday morning we drove back to Gardner, KS to spend the balance of the weekend at Tim and Jody's. While the Cardinals were sweeping the Royals, Trent was busy playing with Daisy and having fun in Tim and Jody's basement. Trent did make it to the Cardinal game on Sunday and it was H-O-T. He didn't seem to mind though as he was watching Pujols hit a Grand Slam! Actually Trent didn't get to see the Grand Slam as he was busy riding the carousel. Apparently, Kansas City has given up on having a good baseball team and has focused on making the stadium a family experience. This worked for us! They also had a little splash park, a miniature golf course and a wiffle ball field. Dan and I never thought that we would be the people that take their kids to a ballgame and spend the game riding a carousel and not watching the game. But 2 year olds and 100 degree days make you change your priorities I guess. Trent was a real trooper and did enjoy his day at the ballpark, especially his 5 carousel rides and his first sno-cone. Here are some pictures from his big week.
Trent and Papa Kenny. Looks like fun?

Too cute! I love it! We need to get together soon!
