Last night Trent and I worked on making a scarecrow to put with our pumpkin on our front porch. Trent helped me pick out a flannel shirt and some old jeans to use for our scarecrow. We had a great time stuffing it full of straw and putting it together. Trent even helped me carry it over to the porch. We were having a great time until we put the finishing touches of gloves and boots on him. Trent reached out to touch the gloves and for some reason all of the sudden was terrified. He practically climbed up my leg trying to get away and wanted to go inside. He won't go anywhere near him. He just kept saying, "Don't like scarecrow". I thought that in the daylight this morning things would be better but as we drove out of the garage this morning he said again, "Don't like that scarecrow, don't like his fingers". I'm hoping that maybe if I take the gloves off he won't be so scared. I put a picture of the scarecrow below, I will admit that he is pretty goofy looking but I don't think that he is scary looking! I feel bad that I might have traumatized Trent with him.
